Management
The PMBoK project management approach is considered one of the most important process-based approaches. It is also described as a particular set of instructions, tools, and excellent practices that are utilised for managing any project in an effective manner. Besides this, it is also recognised as a permanent principle that is used for starting, planning, and executing the work of the project to accomplish the final goals. Moreover, the PMBoK project management approach is highly preferred for streamlining most of the projects as it follows a standardised approach. In addition to this, agile methodology is considered the most effective approach for the presented case study. It is also depicted that agile methodology involves the division of the phases of the project so as to implement constant improvement of the project. Although it came into the limelight at the early 2000s and is still continuously used by individuals of today's age, The prime cause behind this is the underlying principles that aid in achieving the mission of the project in an effective manner (Marnada, 2022). So, it can be said that agile methodologies and the PMBoK project management approach are extremely advantageous for the completion of any project within the mentioned time frame.
PMBoK project management approach and Agile methodology are considered the backbone of the projects. This is due to the fact that both consist of a and predefined project charter, objectives, plans, schedules, as well as budget to achieve the project goals. Other than this, both approaches require effective monitoring as well as tracking of each of the activities of the project so as to offer the finest quality at the mentioned time (Noteboom, 2021)methods. In addition to this, both the methods offer the highest attention to the outcomes of the project compared to others. Furthermore, the difference between PMBoK and Agile methodology is that the former tries to focus on deliverables, while the latter focuses on the values of the project. Besides this, PMBoK tries to accomplish the objectives of the project, and Agile methodologies concentrate on customer satisfaction. At the same time, The Clementon Company (TCC) includes a pre-decided mission to enhance the total revenue and budget of the company in the future. Along with this, the head of the department at TCC also tries to maintain proper monitoring of the activities of the firm to fulfil the mission and objective at the time mentioned.Other than this, a wide range of issues arise in handling the calls of clients describing their issues to the TCC help desk. As a result, the calls related to the help desk issues increased the need for developing a tool that can include the provision of resolving the issues of the calls. However, the improper presence of applications hosted on the server in Hungary resulted in a decline in the intensity of improving the brand image of TCC in the global landscape.
The agile methodology tries to treat the risk by identifying it and then resolving it by planning and analyzing. However, such a method is used in order to mitigate the risk at the lowest possible time and budget. Along with this, agile methodologies also try to maintain the satisfaction rate of clients in an effective manner in the recent and coming years. Apart from this, the PMBoK project management approach treats the risks by evaluating the positive and negative aspects of them. With the use of proper planning, the risks are prioritised, minimised, and again monitored after some time so as to determine their aspects. Similarly, the risks of the TCC organisation are also evaluated efficiently so as to determine their positive and negative impacts on the entire firm (Takagi, 2020). For example, the pessimistic impact of not handling the TCC Helpdesk calls of customers in Hungary is considered one of the most important risks to the entire project or team. As a result, the TCC team tried to have discussions with the other internal members and implement advanced techniques to mitigate such types of issues in an effective way. Contrary to this, it can be mentioned that failure to prioritise the issues can result in a detrimental effect, which can hamper the proper functioning of the firm.
The projects in which the risks are highly prioritised mainly focus on goal, customer satisfaction, budget, revenue, and time. This is because, after considering all these aspects, the errors or issues can be examined and then mitigated properly in a predetermined time. Since client gratification and retention are the key requirements that can amplify the brand value and reputation of the firm in the future, On the other hand, the position can also get amplified across the entire globe as compared to many other rival players. So, all the above-presented features are taken into consideration to resolve the issues. Similarly, the management of TCC also tries to understand each aspect of the issue of client calls to the help desk and decides to resolve it in the shortest possible time (Raharjo, 2020). This is because TCC wants to attain a global image and boost its ranking in international markets. Against the latter statement, it can be said that if such aspects are not followed, it can hinder the proper functioning of the firm in the long run.
The life cycle implications highlight that numerous actions are implemented within each of the phases of the project. It mainly consists of 4 stages, and among them, initiation, planning, execution, and closure are the most effective ones. In the initiation phase, a definite outline of the goals and mission of the project is designed (Marnada, 2022). Then it is presented to the project team so as to increase their attention towards it and the ways to accomplish it in an accurate way. In the next stage, planning is done to identify the resources, budget, time, and risks present within it. Then, in the execution phase, the project is introduced, thereby controlling the risks. Then it offers the ability to fulfil the goals in an accurate way. Finally, it can be seen that each of the stages is totally different from the other. Therefore, the activities are also quite different from others, but each is performed for the fulfilment of the objective.
In the mentioned case study, agile methodology would be the most efficient, rather than PRINCE 2. This is because agile methodology can find the exact issues of the project, and then, with the help of efficient planning and discussion, they can be mitigated. Then the final outcomes are accomplished, which leads to enhanced customer satisfaction and profitability. Since, in the case of TCC, customer retention and gratification are extremely necessary for the improvement of the brand value of the firm (Noteboom, 2021). Moreover, to do so, the issues need to be heard in an actual manner, and then they need to be resolved through planning, scheduling, and analysis. Then the negative outcome of the issue cannot offer huge impacts on the performance of the concern. Similarly, to hike the ranks of the TCC in IT services, an entirely new technique is introduced that can be used for receiving calls, offering the best services to the client, and satisfying them entirely.
