Referring to Figure – 1, it is clear that SSM manages two different types of activities. That are – (1) ‘Real – World’ activities which involves people that are included in the situation and (2) ‘Systems Thinking’ activities in which the business analyst somehow ensures to abstract solutions to problems from real – time by carrying out his systems thinking. In this particular activity, people involved in the problem situation have no such compulsion to participate. Following is the analysis of Technology – Related Business Problem in Organizations using the seven steps / stages of Soft Systems Methodology (SSM). (Simonsen, 1994)
