Subject areas of BOSTEN curriculum year 7-10 and its learning to the studentsThere are various subjects taught to the students of Australia as per the BOSTEN curriculum. The aim of the institute is to provide overall development to the student. In the era of high technology, each and every subject is been taught through technology. However, this system of teaching has enhanced the knowledge of the student as well as provides the tool for effective teaching (Dowden, 2014). This Portfolio discusses the use of technology in agriculture technology and health and physical development. The student learned the management, interactions, and sustainability within agricultural enterprises. The students are told to visit the agricultural firms to get the practical experience of the field work. This will further enhance their knowledge about technology and communication in the corporate world. In todays time, health can be controlled by the machines as well. The students develop the capacity to enhance their health, knowledge, skills, and values to live a healthy and positive life.
Selection and evaluation of ICT resourcesICT tools have brought a wide change in the academic region. This tool has made teaching more interesting and effective. In the digital era, each and every student requires to be highly skilled and knowledgeable in the use of ICT tools (Aranguizamp Quintana, 2016). The use of information and communication tools in the classroom can encourage the learning and enhance the teaching. According to the Australian professional teaching standards, the teachers are required to know about the following areas of ICT
Informational technology skills the teachers should have a thorough knowledge of the technology used in the classroom.
Proper use of the internet the internet can provide any information related to the subject. The teachers should know the effective use of the internet to provide the best teaching to the students.
Classroom management teachers must have those skills to manage the class of diverse behaviour students.
ICT has contributed to the improvement of teaching and administrative task. It has created interest for the student to learn more about the particular subject.

Findings
96 of the Australian farmers are connected to the ICT assets among which 95 are using the internet for knowledge.
ICT includes all the digital devices used in agriculture for the growth (Australian Government n.d.). In the above graph, GPS is most useful in gains management whereas computers play a vital role in vegetables.
The issues related to the use of ICT in Australian agriculture comprise skills, use of the internet, cost, and availability of technologies.
The proper connectivity of the internet is crucial for farmers to use ICT effectively.
Role of ICT in Health and physical developmentIn todays time, health can be measured and controlled by effective utilization of ICT. The following tools of ICT can be used for the effective teaching of health and physical fitness
Computers it is used to produce the documents, presentation of lessons, and score management through various software like SPSS, Excel and so on. It involves software like PC heart rate monitor, remedies heart rate monitor and some other important software (Macdonald, 2013). The computer records the status of the health and the steps for the improvement of the same will be taught in the classroom.
Internet The teachers can share their experience via the internet. Most of the technologies are dependent on the internet. The software requires high-speed internet for effective usage.Student gets knowledge by searching the queries on the web. This brings the solution to them at any time.
Video conferencing it is not necessary for the student and teachers to be physically present in a hall for any discussion or knowledge (Kempton, Sullivan, Bilsborough, Cordy, amp Coutts, 2015). They can also use video calls and conferencing in a suitable time to connect to each other. Moreover, the teachers can connect with the multiple students at a time and teach them through video conferencing.
Projectors the teacher can also use projectors to make the lecture more interesting. The students understand the lecture by seeing the presentation or videos on the projector.
Rationale and learning goals of ICT in Australian professional studiesInformation and communication technology have changed the whole scenario of teaching in Australia. The learning goals can be as follows
Higher productivity for teachers.
Effective and highly professional education to the student of Australia.
To make the student highly qualified and knowledgeable in dealing with technology.
Self-reflection of Australian lecturesI have attended some lectures in Australia. There are various new technologies used for the effecting learning of the student. There was a diversity of student present in the classroom. I have noticed four types of traits in the classroom. The first is a group of disabled students. The students who are disabled and find more difficulty in comparison to other students get the same opportunity which is available for the student without disability (McInerney, 2013). I felt very happy to see that all the students are treated equally. These students are provided the environment as the others are getting. Secondly, there were a group of students who are extraordinary talented. They were also earned many certificates and awards for excellence. The weaker students took help from talented students. Third, EAL/D students whose primary language is other than English, teachers need to take additional support to teach them. And the last is an average student who just wants to pass in the subject. They are also not regular in class. In the lecture of agricultural technology, we visited a farm where all the agricultural activities were done through technology. I was amazed to see that the irrigation and cultivation process was done through machines. We were very excited. Moreover, in the lecture of health and physical education, the health of all the students was measure through the machine and the trainer provide the health tips and exercises for healthy living according to the health report card. It was a great experience to study with such brilliant students and talented teachers. It was a smart and interesting lecture. I have never attended that kind of lectures before. It was excellent learning for me.
