Academic Background My senior secondary education was completed in the year 2017 with subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Mathematics. One can call me an active learner and a person who mix well with other students because of my forward nature. I never liked to stay confined within my books and participated in every available opportunity that came my way. Whether it was a curricular activity or a co-curricular activity, I always made sure that I have put in my 100 and always learned something valuable. Yes, winning was a part of the journey but never my aim. As they say, the more you sweat during practice, the less you bleed during the war, I always try to sweat because I will get ample opportunities to win in the future. I always remained competent with what was going around me in the class and cleared several examinations conducted by the academic institution with high achievements. I would not exactly call myself as the Einstein of my class but I did pretty well in my academics. Haryana is known across the world for producing the best of the best wrestlers and boxers and athletes. Other than my books, I also tried my hands in various sports in the hope that maybe my inside hidden talent will miraculously surface one day. But all went in vain. The traditional games like cricket or hockey, which every Indian child has played, was not my cup of tea. I also took a dig at Taekwondo in the hope that maybe if I fight well I would make a good policewoman. But failure, again. After trying my hand in other sports and tasting disappointment, I met swimming. On a casual stroll one evening, I saw some kids hurrying down a building with bags which spiked an interest to see what was going on. They were going for a swimming lesson and I thought there is no harm in trying, right That was the first day and after 10 years, I have won 20 district and state championships in swimming and also give free swimming lessons to the local children who cannot afford a professional coach. My affair with computers is an old one because I remember the time when I used to cry myself to sleep and begged my father to buy me a computer. I dont know how but my adamant father one day brought home a large carton and what came out of it was my dream - a computer. Since then, I have assembled my computer more times than I can count, have replaced parts like Graphic Cards, RAM, etc. and have installed software like Adobe Photoshop, WolframAlpha, etc. While toying with my computer, I learned what RAM is, what role does it play in operating a computer, what are the effects of changing the RAM, can I install a better graphics card, what parts should not be toyed with and many other things which books could not have taught anyone. I learned about what my strengths are, what my interest is and what is the direction I want to work in.
My Personality I havent given this much thought before. What kind of person am I Well, this can take a few minutes because I really have to think hard to answer this one. My friends always say that I talk too much and never stop talking. They have even pointed out that I talk even when my speech has lost logic. So thats one - I speak a lot. I have a lot of friends and I do not mean Facebook friends and Instagram followers. I am a socially outward person, wherever I go, I like to meet new people.
Study Plan in China I would like to apply for a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Technology in China because of my interest in the field of computers. Over the years, I have realised and concluded that the future is automation and when automatic machines are going to replace everything, I want to stand at the pinnacle and witness the change feeling content that I was a part of this revolution. The desire to learn more about the computers and related fields made me thirsty for knowledge which can only be quenched by pursuing this degree. I would not say that my aim is to graduate and work in a multinational corporation for a thick pay because that is not the dream. My dream is to make a change in this world and gain deep and practical knowledge about Computer Science Engineering. During my course of study, I think that I will meet my own capabilities and skills that I didnt know existed. With what I know and what I will learn, I will try everything to do the best that I can. After my education, I hope to take part in the research in my country and add value to the research techniques of computers. This will not only benefit the economy but will also improve the living standard of the population there. I believe that this program will give me an opportunity to make a positive change in the world.
Reasons to study in China The final piece of this puzzle is why opt to study in China out of all places. The honest answer to this question is that I do not know myself. It just happened that while exploring my options for studying abroad, reading books, learning about the education standards of China and analysing my options, I was impressed with what China has to offer to the world. The way people in China show dedication in their work has inspired me to achieve that excellence. I want to be a part of the country that has set itself as an example to the rest of the world. The growth of the economy, the technological advancements and global ranking of the education institutions, I could not help but agree with everyone else that China has a high reputation in education and career perspectives. The diverse culture, values and gentle hospitality is what I have heard about and I wish to experience it myself and that is why China is the ideal place for me to pursue my undergraduate study.
