Following is the schedule you should follow to plan the project Task 1: Describe the product Describe the product in you are planning to design using a brief report with minimum of 300 words. In this task you have to give details about the expected functionality, features, where it can be used, how it will be powered plus any other special features you are planning to include in the product. You can use a freely available Schematic Capture software or any other package you are familiar with. Save your circuit diagram as a pdf file and send it to the teacher on or before 1st of June 2016. Task 4: Design and build the prototype You can start building the prototype of the product before finishing task 3, Under this task you have to build the prototype and test it for functionality. Since you will be doing this project of your own you have to provide evidence of the product development by taking photos or videos and sending them to the teacher for feedback. Once the prototype is functioning as expected bring it over to TAFE and demonstrate it to the teacher. You need to make prior arrangement with the teacher to demonstrate your prototype. This project works on DTMF technology. DTMF stands for Dual Tone Multi Frequency. The main application of this project is to control switches using DTMF technology.

The main features is that the project can be used to control ON OFF process of the electronic equipment which we use either in house or industry. This can be done using our mobile phone. Our mobile phone has the DTMF encoder. The decoder used is HT9107B which is an IC.

The operation amplifier present in the decoded IC’S output is given to the pre-filter to separate low and high frequency. Then a four bit binary code is produced. Tone produced by the mobile is sent to op-amp. These codes are sent through resistor and Capacitors. The noninverting pin of the IC is connected to reference voltage. The output of the op-amp is given to pin number two of the IC through 100k resistor. The pin seven and eight are connected to crystal Oscillator. The Oscillator detects the tone from the mobile. The output 12 to 14 are connected to the controller output. Relay is connected to the controller pin PD0 and PD1. The relay output is connected to the load.
