TOPIC 2: Power; Respect in Community Service Work

Question 1:

According to Schrader (2021), the differential concepts mainly deals with variation of powers among different factors within the society. In modern times, the concept of power differential is very much common. Even today there is difference between protector and people who need protection. The power difference mainly deals with variety of power that can be transferred from higher to highest positions. The concept of power in the organisation has been familiar since the history has been created. Within a large organisation, the power gradually transfers and continues to gain its strength. Being in power helps in exhibiting the development in the structure (Perkins & Jason, 2021, July 13).

Sometimes, the level of development in power determines the balances in the community service work. To some extent, the power mainly dilutes the fact that improvisation of the activity sometimes happens due to power. Gender, age, money, status, and attractiveness are some kind of factors having power differentials. The levels of these factors are so much important in the sense that in social life they can play variety of roles and responsibility.

Age can be one of the biggest factors for power differential and to some extent people will gain more expertise as the age goes on. To some extent, the age is mainly highlighting the factor that people will get skilled and will increase their expertise with age. They will tend to develop the knowledge in such a way that in turn will increase community service work. Better the community service work will be done more the age will be. Through ages, a noob will become the champion. He will become more responsible (Gibson & Medeiros, 2014).

Money will play significant role in determining power differential. It itself has the power to turn the tables. Mostly the development of any situation and tackling the situation will require money. To some extent, money itself has the power to control situations. Moreover, through the development of power differential, the involvement of money till ages will be successful in dealing with changes that will somehow boost the development. Directly it can be claimed that more money more power.

Status basically comes directly from the position and money. Moreover, status also plays vital role along with education and knowledge. Throughout the ages, the conception of status basically deals with development in making sustainable development. The combination of power and money will be successfully able to highlight the scenario and will no doubt bring better solutions.

Question 2:

1. Jane had to reprimand her case worker because, to some extent the person became emotional and gave suggestion to the young girl. However, in this scenario, the case worker needs to think in some logical way. Moreover, the girl is only 16 years old. In this case, there is ethical dilemma of the young girl of having the baby or going for abortion. However, the case worker needed to consult to the doctors before giving any kind of solutions. Moreover, the ethics should be made consideration and through the ethics consideration, the case worker needed to bring social inclusions. Through the development of ethical consideration, the implementation of social inclusion will give the girl mental boost up. Moreover, through the development in up bringing the changes in mental stability. Development in bringing in ethical values, the case worker should also contact parents keeping the privacy intact. This is because the entire life of that child can spoil up with one single decision.
2. Values and responsibilities may include the development of mindset that brings up the quality in the long run. There should not be any kind of judgement regarding the young girl in the school. The responsibility of giving proper sex education in the school level will decrease this kind of incidents. Through proper education and proper development in dealing such sensitive case will require better form of education and better form of skill. Moreover, the child should have terminated the pregnancy as in such situation without the parental interference it will be difficult for the child to survive. In such situation there is high chance that boyfriend of that girl will leave in the middle making the situation more critical. In that case the level of development for ethical values will be of no help if the child thinks of suicide in the later period.
